Cedar Mountain Breaks Ground

Ground breaking for the $6 M. Cedar Mountain High School Additions and Remodeling is the start of Bid Pack #1; Site and Building shell.  Bid Pack #2 will be bid out later consisting of Mechanical and Electrical for the new additions and remodeling. 

Having separate bid packages allowed the project to get started earlier to meet the September 2015 occupancy. The project consists of a new Cafeteria/ Commons area, Kitchen, additional classrooms and a new media Center.  The existing 1894 building will be demolished.

River Bluff Breaks Ground

On Sept. 4th 2014, students helped to break ground for the new $12 M. Goodhue County Education District (GCED) building. 

 The GCED is a group of five member districts in southeastern Minnesota working together to provide educational services for a variety of special education programs. 

The new building will replace the multiple outdated buildings in the member districts into one building which is scheduled to be completed in Sept of 2015.

Becker High School - Now Completed

As part of a $23M in district wide improvements, the new $13.5 M.  Becker High School Theater and Pool addition was recently completed this fall. 

The project consisted of a new 900 seat theater, 8 lane competition pool with a separate diving well and expansion of the cafeteria/ student commons and new entry.

Cambridge-Isanti Schools: Now Occupied

Completing phase I of the district improvements projects for Cambridge-Isanti Schools, in September of 2014 students returned to their recently completed kindergarten classrooms at Cambridge Primary and Isanti Primary schools .

Several administrative offices for Cambridge Intermediate School and Isanti Middle School were relocated to the front entrance along with new secured entry controls were provided at all district facilities.

In up coming phase II of capital improvements for the district, includes remodeling and additions to the transportation building and a new concessions building at the High School athletic fields .
